Our tools are designed to support schools, school leader, and the communities they serve in generating more of that benefit for more of their students
THE TRUE ACCOUNTABILITY FRAMEWORK CONVERSION KIT
True Accountability requires a conversion mindset from what was to what should be. That is a challenging task. True Accountability is a framework for how a school does their work and as such requires a school system to design what will work best for their students and their communities. This is best accomplished by proceeding through a series of tried and tested steps that create the Accountability Mindset, build the system based on the frameworks, and then launch the effort, first as a pilot, and later as a fully operational system. The Conversion Kit is a the most comprehensive of the frameworks that includes much of what is in the other tools.
TRUE ACCOUNTABILITY PRINCIPLES SERIES
Twelve principles serve as the basis for True Accountability and the Accountability Mindset. Each of these represents a considerable mind shift to learn and internalize, and each needs to be practiced by everyone in a school. The series offers a hands-on approach to the principles and can be delivered on-line, in person, and in a train-the-trainer format. A component of the series is to ensure that the principles become a part of the professional learning communities in a school.
THE ACCOUNTABILITY/CAPACITY AUDIT
Test Sense and The Schlechty Center have joined forces to create a tool that audits the various capacities in a school system necessary to do transformative work. Based on the ground-breaking work of Dr. Phil Schlechty, the audit provides an assessment of the six critical systems for change plus the capacity to put a True Accountability environment in place as the means to making necessary changes.
BOARD TRAINING SERIES
School boards are a critical component of True Accountability and play a unique role. Their understanding of the differences between traditional test-based accountability and True Accountability will be a key to making the transformation in a district. Through a number of exposures each board member will learn the vocabulary and the processes and be able to participate in their district's efforts in a way not previously possible. Boards are welcome to offer the training jointly. Beginning in the fall of 2019 trainings will be offered centrally to induct newly elected board members to the process.
ADMINISTRATOR TRAINING AND SUPPORT
Beginning in the fall of 2019 Test Sense will commence its Test Sense Classrooms for administrators and schools leaders new to True Accountability to aid in the induction process. The function of the Classroom will be to ensure that leaders new to the idea of True Accountability can begin to use it effectively at the earliest possible moment, and to provide experienced leaders with additional opportunities to learn with and from their peers. Classrooms will be offered in an on-line environment with a facilitator, and each summer in an intensive three-day event, starting in 2020.
Test Sense is always interested in developing tools or listening to consulting opportunities that fit within our mission. Got an idea? We'd love to hear it.
